Celtic’s squad is slightly imbalanced.
A poor summer transfer window meant that Brendan Rodgers didn’t get to strengthen all the areas of the Celtic first-team that he wanted.
The board’s failure to add the right personnel to the team caused anger and it sparked recent Celtic fan protests to those in charge at the club.
But what the summer transfer window has also done is create a selection problem for Brendan Rodgers for Celtic’s Europa League tie against Red Star Belgrade tomorrow night.

Charlie Mulgrew Sebastian Tounekti selection problem for Celtic vs Red Star Belgrade
Charlie Mulgrew was looking at the balance of the Celtic team ahead of the trip to Red Star this week when he said Rodgers has a selection headache ahead of him midweek.
Mulgrew told The Go Radio Football Show [1h 21m 30s], “I think there’s this mad situation at Celtic with the left wingers as well.
“Tounekti, Yang, Maeda, Balikwisha, the manager has come out and said Balikwisha prefers the left side. There’s five players playing for that left wing position.
“Now somebody’s got to take one for the team and it will not be Tounekti because he’s been flying, so he’ll be the number one left winger. “
Charlie Mulgrew has doubts about Celtic duo’s starting spot vs Red Star Belgrade
As well as looking at the left wing dilemma, Mulgrew admits he also has doubts about Kieran Tierney and Kelechi Iheanacho starting for Celtic on Wednesday night.
Mulgrew continued, “Then you’ve got Yang, probably the next that’s going to play. There’s Forrest as well, he obviously likes the right wing.
“So the manager said that Maeda, he probably doesn’t see him as a right winger, which I would have said before he said that maybe he might have played right wing.
“But no, I think they’ll go, same team again. The only doubts I’ve got is Kieran Tierney and Iheanacho, whether they’ll play because they’re maybe not up to speed yet.”
Whoever Rodgers picks, Celtic should still have enough within their ranks to get a positive result in Belgrade.
But should they not, more criticism will befall the Celtic board should the Bhoys return with anything less than a Europa League point.
