The domestic action resumes this weekend as Celtic look to continue their unbeaten start to the Scottish Premiership season.

Prior to the international break kicking in, Celtic beat Kilmarnock in a tough away win to ensure that they stay top of the Scottish Premiership table.

With Aberdeen breathing down their necks, Brendan Rodgers’ team know that Jimmy Thelin’s men will be looking for a chance to try and capitalise on any points Celtic may drop from now until both teams meet on the 4th of December.

However, Neil Critchley’s Hearts are up for Celtic next and midfielder, Luke McCowan, has shared what is so strange about the upcoming fixture this weekend.

Celtic’s kick-off time at Tynecastle vs Hearts is ‘a bit weird’

McCowan told Sky Sports, “I can’t wait! It’s a bit weird playing on a Saturday night, but it’s just like a midweek game and you treat it as the quarter-to-eight kick-off or 8pm kick-off.

“Nothing really changes and it’ll be a different one for sure and it’ll be a loud one for sure at Tynecastle.”

And on Celtic’s League Cup final against Rangers, McCowan said, “Everybody will always tell you it’s one game at a time, which of course it is, but it’s just a thing you’ve got to kind of think about.

“And obviously, sad for me, I’ll not even be able to make the cup final, I’ll just be watching it and cheering the boys on, but I’m sure there’ll be others to come and I’ll be involved in them.”

Celtic’s hectic fixture list before facing Aberdeen at Pittodrie

With The Dons level on points at the top of the league but 14 goals behind Celtic, neither team can afford to slip up this weekend.

However with Celtic still set to play Aberdeen on the 4th of December, Rodgers still has to negotiate tough fixtures against Club Brugge in the Champions League on the 27th and then a difficult away trip to Dingwall to face Ross County on the 30th.

The winter schedule is the busiest period on the football calendar and the Celtic squad is set to be tested as Rodgers continues to battle on three fronts over the coming months.
