Celtic midfielder, Yosuke Ideguchi has returned to training after suffering an ankle break whilst on loan at Avispa Fukuoka in Japan.
But after two and a half months of recovery, Ideguchi took part in his first training session and the Japanese midfielder was extremely upbeat about his return.
Ideguchi said, [Nishispo], “It’s going well.
“It was tough during the game, but the next day I was fine. I want to improve my condition even faster. I want to get in better condition as soon as possible.
‘I’ll go into all the training sessions and then I’ll be ready to go.”
The 26-year-old hasn’t had much luck with injury since joining Celtic. A January 2022 signing, Ideguchi suffered a setback on his first team start against Alloa on the 22nd of that month.
From then, he has never really got his career going due to the form of the likes of Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley.
The loan move to Japan was supposed to be a fresh start but history cruelly repeated itself after Ideguchi was injured in the first half of the J League tie against Kashiwa on the 3rd of March.
It’s great to see him back in action and, hopefully, we will see him get some first-team minutes into his legs in Avispa’s next game against Urawa Reds this coming Saturday.
