There’s no doubting that Celtic star Daizen Maeda is on course to sweep up a number of individual awards at the end of the season.
The Japanese speedster has been on fire this season, particularly after the £10m sale of Kyogo to Rennes which has allowed Maeda to play more as a central striker.
Maeda has scored 51 goals for Celtic since arriving from Yokohama F. Marinos under Ange Postecoglou, but 30 of those have been scored this season alone.
He became only the seventh Hoops player to score 30 in a season this century and there’s no stopping him from reaching 40 by May.
Chris Sutton says Celtic cannot afford to sell Maeda, despite Tam McManus insisting he will ‘outgrow’ the Bhoys and play in the Premier League down south.
Regardless, Maeda is contracted at Celtic until 2027 so a huge offer in the summer would be required to tempt the board into selling.

Daizen Maeda admits hilarious hair bleach accident
For now, Maeda has been training with his teammates as Celtic prepare to face Kilmarnock at Parkhead on Saturday afternoon after losing to St Johnstone.
And he has been snapped with a new hairstyle at Lennoxtown, as evidenced via Celtic’s official X account.
Maeda has since quote tweeted the post to explain that he had a bit of a hairstyling accident and bleached his hair too much.
He posted: “I bleached my hair too much and it’s gone. I’m going to take good care of it and let it grow from here on out.”
Maeda went for a bald look upon signing for Celtic and kept it until last year when he decided to dye his hair blonde.
Celtic fans have their say on Maeda’s new hairstyle
Now, Celtic fans have been reacting to Maeda’s new look on X, with many of them saying that they are not bothered by his hairstyle, as long as he continues to produce on the park.
One supporter said: “We all still love you Daizen Don’t worry, Hair is only hair”.
Another wrote: “Mate I couldn’t care less if you were bald, blonde or have Samaras hair.”
This fan posted: “Oops. No matter, hair or no hair, bald, brown, black or blonde it’s still you”.
While this Celtic punter said: “Just get the team playing good again, never mind your hair”.
