Now that the Champions League is over for another few weeks, Celtic fans can now look forward to playing Rangers in the League Cup final at Hampden on Sunday.
Celtic’s draw with Dinamo Zagreb focused attention on the final as the Hoops fans reacted to the Champions League result by looking ahead to the Hampden showdown.
With the first piece of silverware up for grabs this week, Celtic have a chance of putting a marker down on Philippe Clement as the Ibrox boss looks for a way to get that elusive win over Brendan Rodgers this season.
Former Rangers striker, Ross McCormack, was looking previewing the big game when he shared how he felt about what he’s heard the Ibrox support say about their club’s chances of beating Celtic at Hampden.

With Celtic unbeaten in six Glasgow Derbies since Brendan Rodgers’ return last summer, it appears that there is plenty of apathy amongst the Rangers support about beating Celtic on Sunday
McCormack told Superscoreboard [43m], “I think there is a bigger chance that they beat Spurs than they go and win the cup final, but it’s a one-off game the cup final.
“I mean, I’ve never known so many Rangers fans going to an Old F-rm game in my life and be thinking they’re going to turn us over. It’s ridiculous, it doesn’t work like that.”
McCormack was in genuine disbelief but he then goes on to make a claim about Rangers playing Tottenham tonight in the Europa League which could be a sign of how the Ibrox club will play against Celtic at Hampden.

“We’re talking about you don’t get anything given in the Champions League,” continued McCormack, “It’s an Old F-rm game. Celtic have still got to turn up. If they don’t turn up, Rangers will beat them. Make no mistake about that.
“I expect Rangers probably to put on a better show against Tottenham tomorrow night than they will do in the cup final, unfortunately, for the Rangers fans on Sunday.”
The last time Rangers beat Celtic was in a meaningless end-of-season derby after Ange Postecoglou had already wrapped up the league title.
Since then, the Parkhead club have been absolutely dominant over the Ibrox club. And whilst not one Celtic fan will take a win for granted on Sunday, there will be an air of confidence amongst many of the Hoops support that Rodgers will bring the cup that eluded him last season back to Celtic Park.
