Brendan Rodgers told Ange Postecoglou that the experience of managing Celtic is still the best of his entire managerial career in terms of the atmosphere and environment at the club.
Rodgers was in attendance to watch Celtic take on Rangers during the recent derby.
Postecoglou confirmed the Leicester boss popped into his office for a chat – a relationship that has been ongoing for a number of years.

Speaking to The Herald, the Bhoys manager said: “Brendan popped his head in before the game. It was great to see him.
“He’s someone I came across when he was Liverpool manager. They came down to Australia and I was coaching a club down there, Melbourne Victory. He was really kind with his time back then and since then I’ve kept in contact with him.
“He was one of the first people to reach out when I got the job. He’s been really supportive and has sent me a couple of really nice messages.
“It was good to catch up with him at the game. I’m sure he enjoyed being back at Celtic Park. He says it’s still the best experience of his football career in terms of the atmosphere and the environment of being at Celtic. It was great to see him.”
The nature of Rodgers’ exit from Celtic Park in 2019 is always going to make him a divisive figure with supporters. However, it should be stressed that the club itself maintains good relations with the Leicester man.
He’s also a very popular figure with his managerial peers – and Ange is no exception.
Little surprise to hear of this kind of relationship then, as much as some supporters still can’t forgive Rodgers for the way he walked out to the English Premier League.
