One of the highlights of Celtic’s recent 2-0 win over St Mirren, as confirmed by 67 Hail Hail, is that James Forrest has finally been given a song by the Hoops support.
The Celtic fans have immortalized a player who has been more deserving than most of a song from the Hoops support.
Now Forrest has given his verdict on the song, which he is pleased about.
“It was good to hear”

“I heard the song and it was good to hear. I must be doing something right, so I just want to keep it going” he said, as reported by the Scottish Sun.
“It is nice to hear good things from the manager too. He is good that way.”
If ever a player deserved praise and adulation from fans and the manager then it is Forrest. He has spent his entire career at Celtic. Now he looks set to end it at the club after signing a new long-term contract earlier this week.
Not far away from reaching unique achievement

He looks like he could soon reach the 100 goal mark for the Hoops, which would be a terrific achievement. His goal in the win over St Mirren was his 82nd for the club.
When you consider that he has only reached double figures in goals for the Hoops in the last three seasons, that is an excellent record.
Forrest has won plenty of trophies in his time with Celtic. He has been a key man in the Hoops’ run of eight titles in a row. It does seem odd that he hadn’t been recognised by fans with a song until now. He has more than earned one. It is good to see that the fans have paid tribute to an excellent player.
