Celtic star James Forrest is hopeful that some Hoops heroes who contributed to 10 in a row could return to the club should the Bhoys clinch the record in May, the Glasgow Times reports.
The Hoops won’t be taking anything for granted in the quest to make Scottish football history. However, should 10 in a row be won, Forrest is hopeful that some players can return for the celebrations. That would include Kieran Tierney.
“I think obviously that’s what everyone at the club wants to get and KT has been a part of that” Forrest said, as quoted by the Glasgow Times.
“We can have that call at the end of the season”
“There have been so many players who have been a part of the success up to now. I think it’s too far early to talk about, hopefully there is another successful season, and we can have that call at the end of the season hopefully” he concluded.
Forrest is right not to look to far ahead this season. However, it would be incredible to witness a host of Celtic greats return to the club should 10 in a row be won to see Scott Brown lift the league trophy in the final league game of the season.
However, that could depend on the number of fans allowed into the stadium by then. The celebration would not be as good without a packed Celtic Park of 60,000 fans.
Former star would get huge ovation
If Kieran Tierney did return to Celtic Park for the first time since signing for Arsenal, he would get a huge ovation from the Hoops support.
After all, he played a huge role in winning multiple trophies, including two domestic trebles in a row. The same is probably true for Brendan Rodgers. He left Celtic under a cloud. However, on a 10 in a row celebration day his contribution can’t be forgotten about.
Hopefully Celtic have got in mind who could return to the club for the 10 in a row celebrations. It could make a memorable day even better should some legends return.
