Motherwell’s teenage sensation Lennon Miller is a wanted man at the moment despite dealing with a long-term injury.
The 18-year-old is arguably Scotland’s brightest young prospect and has already assumed the role of the Motherwell captaincy.
He is currently sidelined with a nasty ankle fracture that will keep him out for the next few weeks, but that hasn’t abated interest from other clubs looking to sign him.
Serie A side Udinese saw a £2.5m bid for Miller rejected by Motherwell earlier this week, with the Steelmen apparently holding out for at least £4m.
With around a week-and-a-half until transfer deadline day, Miller – who used to be on the books at Celtic as a young boy – is sure to attract more potential suitors and put Motherwell in a very difficult situation.

McFadden on Lennon Miller to Celtic
Celtic have scouted Miller, while Chris Sutton has advocated a Hoops switch for the teenage central midfielder.
But James McFadden, speaking on the latest Open Goal podcast, doesn’t think Miller’s mindset is to join one of either Celtic or Rangers next.
Motherwell hero McFadden believes Miller isn’t a player who thinks signing for one of the Old Firm is the ‘pinnacle’ of a career and is much more open-minded about his career choices.
McFadden said: “I don’t think he would go there. I don’t know if I’m talking out of turn here, but I think that he’s got it where sometimes young players come through in Scotland and think, ‘Celtic or Rangers’, one or the other.
“That’s the pinnacle (for some players), that’s it. If I get there, brilliant. But I don’t think he’s like that. I think he’s like, ‘where is the best place for me to go and play, progress and be successful.’
“For me, Udinese have jumped in because they think they’ll try and get in there before the rest. There will be other teams in for him.”
Gordon Dalziel says Celtic should ‘look at’ Miller
Host Si Ferry then asked pundit Gordon Dalziel if Miller can be the long-term replacement for current Celtic captain Callum McGregor because of the similarities between the two players.
Dalziel responded by saying: “If I was Celtic, I would certainly look at him with the money Celtic have got. But I agree with Faddy, he’s not one of these boys who is shouting to jump ship.
“You talk about having good parents and he’s got a good guy looking after him agency-wise as well. Faddy’s right, he wants to go and play at the right place.
“Money is important but it’s not everything – his career is more important. He’ll make his money, he doesn’t need to worry about that.
“But I think he needs to make the right career choices and I think he’s got people around him. But you’re right, if I was Celtic – he’s captain of Motherwell and the boy’s only going to get better!”
