Recent Celtic recruit Jeremie Frimpong says he now feels at home in Glasgow after struggling a little initially.
The teenage full-back has surprised many with the level of his performances since making the switch from Manchester City’s youth side. Frimpong has already chalked up three first-team appearances and is likely to get many more opportunities before the end of the year.
And he admits that things are now starting to fall into place for him in his new home.

“I know 100 per cent that this was the right decision to come to Celtic,” he told the club’s official website. “It’s an amazing club to be a part of and I know I can fulfil my potential here, so it’s really good.
“Glasgow feels more like home now. When I first came it felt strange, but now everything feels normal and I can call it my home.
“The training has been really enjoyable. It’s hard work and I’m enjoying it every day. We have a great changing room full of really good people and there’s so much quality there too, so I’m learning every day and I’m doing that surrounded by the right people.”

Everyone at Celtic must keep a level head with Frimpong
It’s impossible not to get excited about Frimpong whenever you see him play. He’s a bundle of energy who is comfortable on the ball and likes to get forward at every opportunity. The fact that he is still only 18-years-old just adds to the feeling that he could be something really special.
The kid has only played three games thus far, and we must continue to remind ourselves of this. He’s still a relative newbie to the professional game and he will make mistakes and learn from them as a result.

He’s clearly got something pretty special about him though. While other youngsters his age would just look to perform capably, and not make any mistakes, Frimpong is more than prepared to take a risk.
If he can continue to get good game time at the club and develop at a steady pace he really could become a star. The challenge will be keeping his, and everyone else’s, feet on the ground in the mean time.
