Joe Hart might have retired from football but it is absolutely clear that Celtic has left a huge imprint on the former England goalkeeper.

Hart retired from football and Celtic at the end of last season and is now enjoying a promising career in punditry and as a co-commentator, as he analyses the Bhoys in the Champions League for TNT Sports.

The former Celtic goalkeeper had a tremendous three years at Parkhead as he won seven trophies out of nine including the record-breaking treble in Ange Postecoglou’s final season in Glasgow.

And now, reflecting back on his time in Paradise, Hart has ranked his time at Celtic under Ange compared to every other manager in his football career.

Joe Hart’s compliment to Ange Postecoglou at Celtic

Hart was asked out of all the managers he’s had in his entire football career, who was the best he had ever worked under.

Hart told the Takes From The Terrace, “You know what? I’ve had some top managers and it sounds like I’m playing to the crowd here, but I really enjoyed playing under Ange.

“I absolutely loved what he brought to the game, what he asked me to do, his mentality and his philosophy.

“I was at a different stage of my life when I started working under him as well and we really got each other.

“So I really enjoyed it.”

Hart played for Fabio Cappello for England, Roberto Mancini for Man City and also Pep Guardiola so to rank playing for Celtic under Postecoglou above all of those guys and more is a true compliment to how much he loved his time at the club.

As previously said, Hart enjoyed tremendous success at Celtic as he swept up every major domestic honour at the club.

But compared to playing with England under Fabio Cappello, how did the former Celtic goalkeeper’s record stand up?

So it is clear that during Cappello’s time in England over a four-year period, Hart was massively underused by the Italian manager.

However, Hart did enjoy success with England but just not as much as he did at Celtic under Ange so it is little wonder he didn’t hesitate to rank his time in Glasgow better than that with his country under Cappello.
