Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart has declared the support on offer to the Bhoys away from home “makes the difference” as they search for consistency in the Scottish Premiership.
Hart was in exceptional form for the club during last night’s 3-1 win over Hibs, making a couple of critical saves at key points in the match. It could have been a far more difficult night had he not stepped up and been counted.
Now he’s paid tribute to the fans, writing on Instagram: “First half was electric… second half we had to show another side to our play. Big win … huge support again 💪 It makes the difference 💚🤍”
Hart has been one of the most impressive Ange Postecoglou signings this year, filling a void that existed for 12 months following the departure of Fraser Forster.
The former England international has been revitalised by his move to Glasgow. Working with Stevie Woods and now feeling the love of Celtic fans, it’s been a fantastic destination for him.
His shot-stopping ability has been impressive. But his presence and impact on the rest of the defensive line has been just as important.
Increasingly his distribution is getting better too. He is now regularly attempting to start counterattacks with his throwing and passing rather than kicking it long.
The Bhoys have now won five consecutive matches in all competitions. The goalkeeper has conceded just two goals in that time.
With Hart between the sticks Celtic are going from strength to strength and long may it continue.
