Joe Hart shares what Ange Postecoglou & Brendan Rodgers don’t accept from Celtic players

Joe Hart has tried to calm down the situation at Celtic after the team produced another poor performance in the Scottish Premiership.

The Celtic goalkeeper admitted that the players ‘aren’t overly satisfied’ at the 1-0 win against Ross County, but everyone will ‘stick together’.

One interesting thing he pointed out, which relates to the now-departed Ange Postecoglou and current boss Brendan Rodgers, is how they ‘strongly addressed’ players throwing their arms about, as quoted by The Glasgow Times.

Whenever you are watching a game of football, you will often see players, after they have conceded, screaming and shouting, whilst throwing their hands about, towards their teammate. Even if it’s their own fault.

But it seems as though, both the current and the returning Celtic boss, simply don’t accept that and they have already made it clear towards the players.

That’s why there is none of that from the Bhoys, who unfortunately during the December period, had to pick up the ball out from the back of the net for the wrong reasons.

Whilst Celtic didn’t concede over the weekend, the performance, once again, simply wasn’t good enough, but Joe Hart is using all of his experience here.

Ange Postecoglou and Brendan Rodgers’ demands

“We’d obviously have liked to score more goals and played a little bit more fluid but it wasn’t to be, said Hart.

“Ultimately, on a day where we were not over satisfied, we have still won three points. We keep pushing. It is what it is. We keep calm, keep together. We are a team who stick together. We are not arm throwers and I love that about us.

“The last two managers have strongly addressed situations like that. Everyone is trying to score and do the right thing. We have guys who are putting all the effort in and sometimes it’s just not meant to be.

“Nobody is getting on each other’s back. Everyone knows each other’s intentions. Life is not perfect, football is not perfect, but we are putting ourselves in the best position. It’s half a compliment for everyone to be so frustrated when we have won.”

Returning players

It could be argued that Rodgers hasn’t exactly been able to play what he might deem his strongest XI this season, certainly not consistently.

A number of starters Cameron Carter-Vickers, Reo Hatate, Liel Abada and Diazen Maeda have either been injured, and some more than once, or are now on international duty – there has been worrying news emerging about Hatate.

In these coming months, added with the arrival of Nicolas Kuhn, the hope is that the manager can put out his strongest, which in tune increases the levels on the bench and translates into positive performances out on the pitch.

Perhaps a few more faces need to arrive before Thursday’s transfer deadline, just to liven things up, with suggestions that Norwich City striker Adam Idah could be about to join.
