Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart’s summer relaxation seems to be over after he shared a picture from the gym.

The former England international was last seen on the Hampden pitch at the start of this month.

At that stage he was celebrating yet another Celtic trophy win, and his first treble since joining the club two years ago.

Since then, while the players have been relaxing on holiday, there has been a fair amount of change at Celtic Park.

Ange Postecoglou has departed for Hart’s former side Tottenham Hotspur, with Brendan Rodgers replacing him.

The Celtic support seem to be pretty excited for what’s to come under Rodgers, and that feeling may well be shared by Hart too.

At the very least, the 36-year-old is raring to go for the new campaign.

He posted on his Instagram story on Tuesday afternoon, displaying an image of him in a gym alongside the caption: “Nearly time to go again.”

Hart has been a big performer over the past two seasons and he is likely to have a prominent role to play in the coming campaign too.

Postecoglou’s departure would have been an unsettling time for him and his team-mates, but Celtic’s acquisition of Rodgers has set the tone for what’s to come.

It’s the club saying: we’re not giving up our domestic dominance any time soon.

Hart’s message continues that theme, further setting the tone for what should be expected in pre-season.

He and his fellow Celtic stars will be ready to go again in the coming weeks.

What’s gone before for Hart, Rodgers or anyone else won’t matter. It’s all about what happens from now on.

Bring it on we say.
