Celtic legend, John Fallon was pictured at Hampden yesterday as the Lisbon Lion turned up to watch the club create another piece of history.
Fallon played for Celtic for 12 years and was part of the incredible Lisbon Lions squad that won the European Cup in 1967. The former Celtic keeper was our first choice between the sticks before the arrival of Ronnie Simpson and although he never played in that famous final, he is still regarded by the fans as a Lisbon Lion.
And yesterday, he was snapped making his way to Hampden and his son, John Fallon Jr shared the picture on Twitter:
One of Fallon’s first medals he won with Celtic was, fittingly, in the Scottish Cup back in 1965. Fallon was in the first team as Celtic defeated Dunfermline 3-2 with a double from Bertie Auld and the third added by Billy McNeill.
Incredibly, as his son points out, Fallon has witnessed every Celtic treble since Jock Stein first achieved the feat in 1967. The legendary keeper has had a glittering career with Celtic himself. With six League titles, two Scottish Cups and five league cups to his name, Fallon has written his name into the Celtic history books.

As the Celtic fans celebrate their team creating another piece of history, we will now look forward to this week with a sense of trepidation as we await news on the future of the manager. Whatever is announced, we can look back on this season with pride at what Ange Postecoglou and his team have achieved.
