It has been a while since Celtic have lost back-to-back Scottish Premiership matches, but the club need to get their act together as soon as possible.
That was the message from John Hartson to Celtic, especially after hearing comments from Rangers boss, Philippe Clement.
The recently-appointed Rangers manager is talking about winning ‘titles’ after his team’s triumph in the Scottish League Cup final over Aberdeen, but John Hartson thinks ‘Celtic have to respond’ to that, as he told Go Radio.
Even though Rangers have two games in hand and would go top of the table if they win both.
The Bhoys need to remember that winning the derby on December 30 keeps the Treble winners at the top of the pile.
Philippe Clement’s comments
“When Clement’s talking about titles, maybe he isn’t saying this season,” said Hartson.
“But if that isn’t a warning sign for Celtic when the opposition manager is pointing out that he may win titles and he wants to win titles.
“Listen, you have to respond to that! You have to react to that comment and say, ‘whilst I am the manager here, I am going to make sure I go to the board and bring in the right players to suit the way I want to play. I am going to get them on the pitch and stop you from winning titles’.
“That’s the way Brendan Rodgers will be thinking.”

There is no doubt that the momentum is on the other side of the city, but that can quickly change by putting wins back on the board.
These next ten days are huge in the title race because they will define the teams’ mood going into the January transfer window.
Even before Celtic lost the unbeaten run to Kilmarnock, there were loud noises about new faces and better quality needing to come in.
Well, all of that has now just been ramped up because the powers that be now need to back Rodgers properly.
