Celtic star Josip Juranovic was clearly a fan of his personalised ‘Fireball’ chant, and sang about it “every day for a couple of weeks” revealed team-mate Cameron Carter-Vickers.

The Croatian’s surname was made to fit with Pitbull’s 2014 dance tune midway through last season, just as he rose to prominence as part of Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Juranovic was a big fan of the supporter-created chant at the time, but now Carter-Vickers has revealed that the full-back would regularly sing it when around his team-mates.

Appearing on a Celtic ‘teammates’ video yesterday alongside fellow centre-back Carl Starfelt, the American was asked to name the Celtic player who ‘thinks they can sing.’

“So I’ve gone with Jura,” he said. You know his ‘Fireball’ song? The one the fans sing about him.

“There was a period last season where he sung it every day. Didn’t he though? (To Starfelt)

“For a couple of weeks. It’s a good song though.”

Juranovic’s crooning hadn’t made the same impression on Starfelt, who plumped for Joe Hart.

The answer from CCV is just another example of this team and the support working well together.

While football fans often feel like they are on the outside looking in, and unable to really make a difference, the Celtic support’s songs are known and spoken about by the players inside the dressing room.

When Sead Haksabanovic’s moment came in the aftermath of the recent Ross County win, Joe Hart’s reaction to the chant suggested it was another the players were well aware of.

Carter-Vickers and Juranovic are both in Qatar right now on World Cup duty, with their sides both starting with draws.
