As Celtic prepare to face Atheltic Club in tonight’s testimonial for club legend, James Forrest, the fans will be looking forward to being given the opportunity to honour a player that has given so much over his 13-year career at Paradise.
Celtic have been heavily promoting tonight’s fixture and it seems that all the hard work may have paid off as a good crowd is expected for tonight’s game.
The club have also been very active on social media. Tweets and Instagram posts promoting the event has featured heavily over the last two weeks and the club’s latest post on Instagram was responded to by former Celtic favourite, Josip Juranovic.

Legend is a word that is used loosely in football but for James Forrest, it could not be more apt. Often under-rated, Forrest has been a pivotal player for Celtic ever since his goal-scoring league debut way back in 2010 in a 4-0 win over Motherwell.
Since then, Forrest has gone to amass an array of silverware and is currently one of the club’s most decorated players.
The 32-year-old also went on to have a very decent Scotland career. With 38 caps and five goals to his name, Forrest’s most impressive display in a Scotland jersey came when he scored a hattrick in the 3-2 win over Israel in 2018.
Tonight, Celtic and the supporters will take the time to honour Forrest. Juranovic was bang on. Forrest is a legend at Celtic and you will be hard-pressed to find a single person that will disagree with that.
