Celtic picked up where they left off for their opening game of the new season on Sunday.
Brendan Rodgers’ side beat St Mirren 1-0, in what was a special occasion for the club because it was also Flag Day for the champions of Scotland.
The game was broadcast on Sky Sports, with Scott Brown and Kris Boyd on punditry duty, alongside former Hibernian and Dundee United manager, Jack Ross, and Chris Sutton on commentary duty.
Before the game, the Celtic Park faithful were in full voice, and it caught the attention of the former Rangers man in the Sky box.

Scott Brown and Kris Boyd on Celtic fans before the St Mirren game
You’ll Never Walk Alone is synonymous with the Celtic fans, and you will hear it loud and proud before any game, and the best ones are those on European nights.
When Brown was talking about Rodgers on Sky, you could hear the Celtic supporters starting to sing world football’s famous anthem, before Boyd interrupted and told his fellow pundit to ‘keep talking, so I don’t have to listen to this.’
Celtic’s former captain issued a brilliant response by telling Boyd that he would happily teach him the words of YNWA, as he told Sky Sports Football (03/08/25).
“Just keep talking so I don’t have to listen to this,” Boyd tells Brown as the Celtic fans start singing YNWA.
Brown then responded: “You want to sing along? I can tell you the words whenever you want, if you want.”
Boyd then added: “You must have learned them.”
