Former Celtic hero Kieran Tierney has posted on Instagram after he joined Real Sociedad on loan.
Talk of Tierney potentially returning to Celtic this summer was ended over the weekend as his season-long switch to the La Liga side was confirmed. (BBC)
The Scotland international has endured a tough 18 months at Arsenal, with little or no game-time available under manager Mikel Arteta.
It was, therefore, a really nice sight to see the 26-year-old with a big smile on his face again as he posted the customary Real Sociedad signing photos on his Instagram page, alongside the caption: “So happy to be here.” (Kieran Tierney on Instagram)
And that feeling of genuine happiness for Tierney seems to be shared by a number of well-known figures who clearly hold the defender in high regard.
After a difficult recent period everyone seems to be happy he’s found a new home, even if it is a temporary one.

Former Celtic youngster Andy Robertson replied to say “Good luck KT” and fellow Scotland international John McGinn said “Good luck ma man.”
England women’s international Steph Houghton said “Good luck” while Scottish indie rock band The Snuts thought the update was “class.”
Celtic-supporting comedian Kevin Bridges replied to say “Yes my man”. Those two are known to have had a pretty good relationship over the years and Bridges also has a love for Spanish football.
Radio host Roman Kemp, an Arsenal fan, told Tierney to “smash it bro” while transfer guru Fabrizio Romano also posted some emojis.

Former Celtic defender Jack Hendry said “Love it mate” while Kevin Nisbet went with “Congrats brother”.
Away from the comments, the post was also liked by David Turnbull, Tom Rogic, Scott Brown, Greg Taylor, Jackie McNamara and Henrik Larsson among others.
The latter had real success in Spain during his career. It would be great to see Tierney doing likewise.
When scrolling through the images it was hard to ignore the huge Champions League badge in the final picture. Like Celtic, La Real are in the group stage of the competition this season.
They’re actually just ahead of us in the coefficient rankings meaning that they’re also likely to be in pot four. However, if four lower ranked sides come through qualifying this week they’ll be moved up to pot three and will become potential opponents for us.
That would make a Tierney return to Celtic Park possible after all. Wouldn’t that be special?
