Julian Araujo’s late Celtic winner at Kilmarnock ignited the title race but it didn’t please one of the Rugby Park stewards one bit.
Celtic struggled to beat Kilmarnock as the Bhoys’ shaky first-half performance left Martin O’Neill with a monumental half-time talk to try to salvage something from the game.
Sebastian Tounekti sparked Celtic’s Kilmarnock revival with a superb curling finish from 25 yards which was followed up by Benjamin Nygren’s scrappy equaliser.
When Alistair Johnston returns to fitness, would you pick him over Julian Araujo?
But it was the scenes that followed Julian Araujo’s dramatic late winner, as the Celtic defender kicked off bedlam, and a bitter reaction from one of the Kilmarnock stewards that the Sky Sports cameras missed.
Steward tells Kilmarnock’s Celtic hero Julian Araujo to ‘move’ after late winner
Celtic fans all over would have thought that the vital winner was not coming as the seconds ticked down on the seven minutes of added time.
However, when Araujo popped up at the back post and the celebrations with Celtic fans ensued, one Kilmarnock steward didn’t take too kindly to the Hoops defender’s celebrations.
The scenes were a joy to watch and what made it even better was the rage on the steward’s face as Celtic fans and Araujo turned Rugby Park into a party.
