It’s that time of year again.
The new Scottish Premiership season is upon us with fans and pundits alike delivering their predictions as far as league placings are concerned.
We at 67 Hail Hail delivered our forecasts for the 2025/26 campaign and all, of course, have tipped Celtic to win a fifth consecutive title.
Pundit and former Rangers striker Kris Boyd has also lodged his say for The Scottish Sun, and it’s not a surprising one.

Boyd’s message to ‘Celtic friends’ after backing Rangers
Boyd has backed his old team to win the Premiership despite undergoing huge change on and off the pitch in the summer.
Many Rangers fans would see this upcoming season as a transitional one as a result, but Boyd thinks instant success is achievable.
And he had a message for his ‘Celtic friends’ out there after tipping Rangers for glory. He wrote: “Making predictions for the Premiership with a month of the transfer window to go isn’t easy.
“There have been massive changes across the league already this summer but the Old Firm especially still have major business to do.
“The outcome of a close title race could be influenced by what happens with signings over the next four weeks. But I’ll stick my neck on the line right now and say Rangers will win the Premiership.

“My Celtic friends out there will say I’m bound to get it right one day if I keep tipping my old club!
“Yet this properly feels like a new era at Rangers — with fresh ideas under the American owners and Russell Martin.
“It’s going to be tough and you can’t argue with Celtic starting the season as favourites to win a fifth successive title.
“But right now, they are weaker than they were last season and while you could say the same about Rangers, Martin’s squad is getting stronger all the time.”
Boyd blinded by loyalty
As always, Boyd has his blue-tinted spectacles permanently fixed to his face. He has to back his old team for fear of alienating Rangers fans.
Boyd truly doesn’t believe Rangers will win the title, it’s just something he has to say. He knows deep down that Celtic are likely to emerge victorious again.
Yes, Rangers have increased financial power and a new manager with expansive ideas. But they are still miles behind the champions.
Celtic are in prime position, despite needing more reinforcements of their own, to grab hold of the trophy come May 2026.
