Rangers are having another throw of the dice as they aim to stop Celtic from eating up the trophies again.
The international break can be boring for supporters, but the Celtic Park faithful have been provided with comedy value from Rangers, once again.
After Steven Gerrard rejected a return to Ibrox this past week, it has now been suggested that the Gers could turn to Kevin Muscat as their new coach.
And Kris Boyd was dreaming big, as he was reacting to what the Celtic fans are saying about this matter.

Kris Boyd on Ange Postecoglou and Kevin Muscat comparisons
Muscat is currently the manager of Shanghai Port, as he also managed one of Ange Postecoglou’s former sides, Yokohama F. Marinos.
Added to the fact that they are both Australian, you are going to get the media comparing the duo and their managerial journeys.
But Boyd has been told on Sky Sports News (14/10/25) by the Celtic supporters that Muscat, if he becomes Rangers boss, is just a poorer version of Postecoglou.
Sky Sports presenter: “The Celtic fans are saying, ‘he’s a poor man’s Ange Postecoglou, Kevin Muscat.'”
Boyd: “That remains to be seen. Celtic had success with Ange Postecoglou when he arrived in Scottish football, and it’s a similar pathway. It doesn’t guarantee that Kevin Muscat is going to be a success at Rangers, if he is the man to get the job.
“The way that Ange Postecoglou managed Celtic. The way he was getting his team to play was exciting. The Celtic fans loved it. He carried that on, going into the English Premier League, starting with Tottenham Hotspur, and it has kind of fallen away since.
“Rangers fans are hoping, if it’s Muscat, he can have the same success that Ange Postecoglou did.”
Postecoglou’s legendary spell at Celtic in numbers
When Postecoglou became Celtic manager in 2021, it was on the back of Gerrard and Rangers stopping the 10-in-a-row.
So, there was a lot of pressure on this unknown name taking to the Celtic dugout, and matters were made worse when he started poorly.
But as the dust settled, Postecoglou wrote his name into the history books and provided one of the most entertaining periods in the club’s rich and trophy-laden history.
