In one of their many posts on Instagram, they shared some images of Furuhashi and Iniesta together in their Vissel Kobe days.

“Teammates and Inspirations: Andrés Iniesta x Kyogo Furuhashi” the caption read.

Both players still seem to have a lot of love for each other. They each replied to the posts, both entirely in emojis, but nevertheless.

It’s clear that the pair enjoyed their time together, with Iniesta acting as a mentor for Celtic’s forward.

It’s also nice to see that the J League think it was such a magical time when they were together.

Kyogo will now be looking to the new season at Celtic. He netted 34 goals for us in 2022/23 with 27 of them coming in the league.

His big club-based frustration from the campaign would likely be failing to net in the Champions League.

It would be amazing to see him put that right next season.

Maybe Iniesta could offer him some tips on scoring at that level too.
