Liam Gallagher has hinted at a potential Oasis concert at Celtic Park.

This week, reports have suggested that the iconic band are in talks to go back on tour in 2027 following the immense success of their reunion tour last year.

Liam and his brother Noel’s affinity for the Hoops is well-known and owed to their family’s connection to the Irish Catholic community.

The frontman certainly didn’t do anything to dampen the rumours on his social media account.

Would you be in favour of a “smaller version of SWG3” being built next to Celtic Park?

At their Live ’25 tour last year, the band played three nights at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, their first Scottish shows in 16 years.

At those shows, Anais Gallagher (daughter of Noel) and Gene Gallagher (son of Liam) both wore Celtic colours.

At Celtic’s win over Rangers at Parkhead on Sunday, the first song played after the full-time whistle was Roll With It, the classic Oasis single which has become an unofficial Celtic anthem.

No music act has played a headline show at Celtic Park since Wet Wet Wet in 1997. That performance was originally scheduled for the previous day but was postponed due to the funeral of Princess Diana.

Paul McCartney planned a Celtic Park date in 2003, but this was cancelled. In the last two decades, Hampden Park has been used more frequently; Gallagher has played there on his solo tours.

Gallagher’s tease comes a source told the Sunday Mail about a potential gig at Parkhead: “Nothing has been finalised and it is early days, but the Gallagher brothers are very keen to tour in 2027 and a return to Scotland would be a no-brainer if a deal can be done.

“There has been talk of new songs, and the 2025 gigs were a massive success globally, so who wouldn’t want to continue.

“Playing Murrayfield again could be a possibility, and Hampden Park is also in contention, but Liam and Noel are big Celtic fans, and they would love to play Celtic Park.

“Their mum Peggy was born in Ireland and is a huge Celtic supporter, so if a deal could be done to play Parkhead, they would be delighted.

“Things are at an early stage but there would be the potential for stadiums to be free towards the end of May.”
