Kyogo Furuhashi has sent out a simple Instagram message after his return to Celtic training this week.

Kyogo has been out of action since December with a hamstring injury but is finally closing in on making a competitive appearance for Ange Postecoglou once again.

Today on the social media site he shared his delight at again being involved, posting a training photo and stating: “Happy to be back with the team😄🍀”

Amongst the respondents in the comments were Liel Abada and former Barcelona midfielder Sergi Samper, who played with Kyogo at Vissel Kobe in Japan.

Abada and Kyogo played well together in the first half of the season, so it’s no surprise that the Israeli is relishing the prospect of playing alongside his teammate again.

The duo remain the club’s two top goalscorers this season despite the strong emergence of Giorgos Giakoumakis and Daizen Maeda since January.

It remains to be seen whether or not Kyogo starts or even plays at Ibrox. Although he’s returned to training, he simply might not be ready for a task of that size.

Thankfully Giakoumakis takes the pressure off of the decision somewhat. He’s been excellent for the last few weeks and did a fine job against Rangers in the last derby.

More than anything it’s just pleasing to see Kyogo happy again and ready to contribute to the Bhoys if he’s called upon.

In other news, Ange Postecoglou reveals the final message he’ll give to Celtic players in the dressing room tomorrow.
