Sead Haksabanovic left Celtic under a cloud.

The Swedish winger left Celtic for Malmo after Haksabanovic took to social media to vent his frustration after struggling to make his mark in Brendan Rodgers’ first team.

Haksabanovic posted on Instagram, “If they don’t see your value maybe you’re not at the right place.” after being snubbed by the Celtic manager at the start of his second tenure at Parkhead.

The Swede is currently enjoying his second season at Malmo but in a recent social media post on X, Haksabanovic showed that he still has love for Celtic.

In a charity event organised by Malmo, the Swedish club asked their players to wear their favourite football shirt as they arrived for training this week.

Malmo posted on X, “Which shirt do you like the most? Today we’re wearing football shirts in aid of the Children’s Cancer Fund.

“Put on your favourite shirt and swish a contribution to 90 20 991 to support the important work of the Children’s Cancer Foundation.”

Wearing the famous black away jersey with green pine stripes that fans will recognise from Jota’s free-kick against Real Madrid in 2022, Haksabanovic clearly still has feelings for Celtic even though he left the club in 2024.

Sead Haksabanovic’s Celtic stats vs Malmo

Haksabanovic arrived at Celtic with a certain reputation of being a very skilful attacker.

But due to the Hoops having the likes of Jota and Liel Abada at their disposal, the Montenegrin international had to bide his time for his chances in the Celtic first-team.

So how do his stats at Malmo compare to his time at Celtic?

Haksabanovic is still struggling to get minutes at his new club due to injury and will be hoping to make a positive impact soon.

Because if he fails at Malmo, it won’t be a good look for him considering the way he left Celtic.
