Celtic winger Marian Shved has been recalled by his country Ukraine ahead of a double header of international matches next month.
The 22-year-old has made just two competitive appearances for Celtic so far this season and missed out on a call-up as his country secured qualification for Euro 2020 earlier this month. However, Shved will be in with a chance of selection for a duo of matches in November after boss Andriy Shevchenko gave him the call.

Ukraine have a friendly clash against Estonia before rounding off their qualification campaign with a dead rubber match away to Serbia.
Shved could be at Euro 2020 with Ukraine
The news is likely to act as a boost for Shved who has made just one substitute appearance in our last 19 matches. That came in the recent win over Ross County when Neil Lennon gave him just 16 minutes to show what he can do.
The ongoing situation is one of intrigue for the Celtic support given Shved’s exploits prior to his move to Glasgow. After sealing a January move he performed well in the Ukrainian top-flight for Karpaty Lviv – scoring 15 goals in the 2018/2019 season.

That led many fans to believe that he would provide stiff competition for James Forrest on the Celtic right-wing. However that hasn’t been the case.
Shved is contracted at the club until 2023 so still has plenty of time to make his breakthrough. However, many fans will be frustrated to see him languishing in the reserves when we have so few options on the right.
The ironic thing is that, despite his lack of Celtic appearances so far, he could still be one of the few Hoops players playing at the Euros next summer.
