The one shining light to come out of Celtic’s defeat to FC Midtjylland was another delightful cameo by young Callum Osmand.
The 19-year-old striker made an almost instant impact in Celtic’s defeat to Midtjylland after he won the penalty to make the scoreline look a little bit more respectable.
O’Neill sent Celtic fans a defiant message as he declared that the Parkhead club are still in the competition.
However, he did deliver an update on young Osmand who pulled up with a suspected hamstring problem with just five minutes of the Europa League defeat to go.

Martin O’Neill confirms hamstring injury for Celtic youngster Callum Osmand
The young striker looked distraught as he left the pitch in Denmark as Celtic boss O’Neill confirmed young Osmand had suffered a pulled hamstring.
O’Neill told Celtic TV, “Yeah, he’s pulled a hamstring and he’s never had that injury before, and that’s something that we’ll just have to deal with.
“It’s come at a really unfortunate time for him in the sense that he’s trying to break into the side and that’s a real shame for him.
“But he’ll recover in time and yeah, these injuries now seem to be taking longer, particularly in people who’ve had it for the first time.
“So, when he comes back again, you want him to be absolutely right so as not to redo these things, then it becomes an endless uh proposition.”
Celtic fans will be gutted for the young man as Osmand was quickly proving that he had something about him that could really benefit the Hoops frontline this season.
