Mathias Kvistgaarden has fuelled Celtic transfer speculation after revealing he is considering an exit from Brondby.
Mathias Kvistgaarden has revealed that he is thinking about his future away from Brondby, with an array of European clubs interested in the Denmark Under-21 international’s signature.
Kvistgaarden said: [Tipsbladet], “I’m, of course, thinking about the future, but right now, I’m keeping my focus on the present. We have many matches left in this season, but the goal is if I can produce as many good performances as possible, which will be able to help me in terms of my own future.
“There’s no doubt that it’s interesting. Big clubs were supposedly present there (Brondby´s match against FC Nordsjælland). I would be lying if I said otherwise. But I don’t want to dwell too much on such matters because I’m afraid it could divert my focus from the game on the field. It’s hard to say which league suits me best. It varies depending on what people think and how they see me as a player in terms of where I belong. The Bundesliga is a great league, and it could be a fun place to play. But it also depends on the specific team and how they play.”
Kvistgaarden was previously linked with the Hoops in the summer, but a move failed to materialise with Brondby rejecting a £4 million bid for the forward.
Celtic were also rumoured to have had a previous bid rejected for Kvistgaarden which was also unsuccessful and speculation at the time, linked the Hoops with a third bid of £4.5 million. However, this proposed third bid was never actually submitted to Brondby.

According to Ekstra Bladet, the Superliga side believed Kvistgaarden to be worth around £6 million, a sizable difference from the £4 million which Celtic were previously willing to offer.
In the Superliga this season, Kvistgaarden has been directly involved in 10 goals in 13 games, contributing five goals and five assists.
Kvistgaarden clearly has sizable ambitions for his future away from Brondby. While Celtic were previously interested in the forward, the Bhoys will face stiff competition if they are to complete his signing in the near future.
