Michael Stewart believes Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is on the right track in terms of the football he is trying to put in place at the Bhoys.
Celtic beat St Johnstone 2-0 at Celtic Park today in the Scottish Premiership. It’s the Bhoys fourth successive win in all competitions and third successive clean sheet.
For Stewart, Postecoglou has been entirely vindicated for sticking to his Celtic tactics despite serious criticism when the team were going through a difficult run of results.

Speaking on BBC Radio Scotland today [17:47], he said: “For me, Ange Postecoglou is a very astute acquisition as a manager. I don’t think there’s any doubt that he knows what he wants.
“I remember a few weeks ago when they were coming out of that tough run of results there was a lot of chat about him sacrificing his style of play to get some results and he said playing good football and getting results aren’t mutually exclusive.
“He’s absolutely spot on. It’s about doing the work properly and implementing the style of football properly. That will get you results.”
The situation at Celtic is certainly looking positive at the moment. There’s definitely lots of hard work ahead. And it can’t be forgotten Celtic are still fourth in the Scottish Premiership.
However, it really feels like the entire team are turning a corner. The return from injury for key players has given the squad a huge boost, as most reasonable Celtic fans predicted during the period of poor form.
If we can keep this run going and win at Easter Road on Wednesday then there really will be cause for optimism.
