Celtic fans have been protesting all season long against the board.
When Brendan Rodgers was in the Celtic dugout, both of Martin O’Neill’s interim spells, and that nightmare Wilfried Nancy reign, the supporters’ gripe, frustration and anger against the board has remained the same.
In some senses, it is working because Peter Lawwell is out of the door, but clearly it’s not enough, and a lot more needs to be done.
That’s why some Celtic fans decided to boycott the Scottish Cup tie against Dundee over the weekend, as Michael Stewart was at Parkhead to witness it happening.

Michael Stewart on Celtic fans’ boycott vs Dundee in the Scottish Cup
The most important thing is that Celtic beat Dundee in extra-time, as they booked their ticket into the quarter-finals, where Rangers await at Ibrox.
But it was clear, before a ball was kicked, that there were swathes of empty seats across the stadium, and it remained like that throughout the match.
Did it affect Celtic’s performance? No, because what the Hoops produced is what they have been doing all season long.
Plus, if you go back to Celtic’s win over Dundee in O’Neill’s final game in charge of his first interim spell, that performance was pretty poor from the team, and this was no different.
Either way, as the game kicked off against Dundee, the Premier Sports commentator mentioned the empty seats, and Stewart noticed how there were ‘clearly’ lots of them.
Premier Sports commentator: “That Celtic fan boycott does appear to have some degree of an effect.”
Stewart: “You can just look around to see the effect it has had. Clearly, a lot of empty seats. You would say that it’s not going to be a hindrance to Dundee, that’s for sure. Definitely, it’s far from ideal for the home team.”
