Mikael Lustig posts hilarious Nir Bitton meme on Instagram as he says goodbye to Celtic heroes

Mikael Lustig has paid tribute to departing Celtic duo Nir Bitton and Tom Rogic on his Instagram account today, declaring: “Two of my favourites are leaving, 9 years of memories 💚”

Lustig was of course their teammate for many successful seasons, becoming the joker of the squad and a firm favourite of not just supporters but the dressing room too.

So that one of the images he’s posted on his account was a hilarious Bitton meme should be of no surprise.

The “Nir Bitton, Far Bitton” meme has long been a classic of the Celtic online support – it makes sense the players would be well aware of it themselves!

Lustig did also post kinder images of the players – celebrations and moments that will long live in the memory of everyone.

The last decade has been such a memorable time to be a Celtic supporter. More trophies than we could ever have imagined, huge personalities and plenty of laughs along the way.

As we look ahead with excitement to the future, it’s only right we reflect on what’s been achieved and the players who got us there. Bitton and Rogic are certainly two of them.

It’s going to be a massive trophy day at Celtic Park tomorrow and I can’t wait to see the team not only be rewarded for their success this season but also see the ovation this duo get as they embark on a new chapter of their career.
