A minute’s applause will be held at Hampden Park prior to kick-off in the Scottish League Cup final between Celtic and Rangers.
The tribute will be to Ron Gordon, the Hibernian owner, Executive Chairman and SPFL director, who sadly passed away earlier this week.
The news comes as Celtic have released their guidance and information for fans heading to the national stadium this sound.
The brief includes a notification of the minute’s applause and a reminder of roadwork, parking and travel restrictions for those attending.
The club have also moved to remind everyone that pyrotechnics are prohibited, stating: “As always, Celtic encourages our supporters to bring banners and flags, and to sing songs which support the team positively. The possession and use of fireworks, smoke bombs, firecrackers and all pyrotechnics are absolutely prohibited.
“Again, we stress the dangers surrounding fireworks and pyrotechnics, which are considered a serious safety issue. We also stress the extreme danger of throwing these items and the risk this presents to the health and safety of the players, match officials and fellow supporters.
“Celtic Football Club and its supporters are rightly proud of our reputation and we encourage all supporters to help foster this reputation at this fixture.”
Before the semi-final against Kilmarnock, there was a stunning pyro display as the players walked out of the tunnel.
Visually impressive to plenty of fans and onlookers, clearly the club aren’t aiming for a repeat, which is in line with Hampden regulations.
Even if there’s a clamp down on that, the atmosphere is going to be electric in and around Hampden on Sunday. This is just the second final between the two clubs in a decade after all.
