Former Celtic favourite Moussa Dembele has sent a class message to outgoing captain Scott Brown.

Brown is on the verge of an emotional Celtic exit after 14 years at the club.

One of his best seasons came alongside the French striker when Brendan Rodgers and company thrashed the opposition with an invincible treble campaign back in 2016/17

Brown and Dembele always seemed to get along great during that period.

No surprise then that the Atletico striker was quick to pay tribute today after Celtic posted a video interview with the captain.

An exciting seven days for Celtic fans is about to get underway

He said: “Good luck for the next challenge captain. Legend. Leader.”

For some, I don’t think it has quite sunk in Broony is going to be leaving us. Or maybe that is just me.

For an entire generation of fans, they’ve only ever known Brown and Celtic as an item.

It will be so odd watching him line up and try his usual best for Aberdeen next season.

Just one more match remains, at another club crucial to Brown’s career. Celtic face Hibernian at Easter Road on Saturday as the long Brown goodbye goes on.

We’ll have plenty more Scott Brown content on the site this week, and earlier even got the chance to speak to the man himself about the future of the captaincy.

In other news, Celtic clear up worrying Karamoko Dembele situation.
