Sky Sports are airing exclusive interviews with Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou and captain Callum McGregor this evening, reflecting on a brilliant double-winning season.

A programme titled “Captain’s Insight: Callum McGregor” airs at 5:45pm on Sky Sports Football with a half-hour show called “Postecoglou: We Never Stop” on directly after at 6pm.

These are as yet unseen interviews, though the broadcaster has provided written highlights on their website over the last week.

Following these two shows, Sky will also air “Scottish Premiership Goals 2021/22” taking a look back at some of the best goals scored in the competition over the last 12 months.

So it’s sure to be a fine 75 minutes of good viewing for supporters who will have been missing the wisdom of both Celtic men over the summer break.

Postecoglou has given just one interview since leaving on his holiday to Greece, which aired live on Australian radio. There’s been an absence of the Celtic manager on our screens over here.

That’s no bad thing, it’s important for everyone to get a break from each other of course. But it’ll be fantastic to hear what the manager has to say about the season past.

From the look of things, both interviews were recorded a while ago, so we won’t get any up-to-date information regarding signings or targets this summer. But that’s not really the point of the broadcasts.

Postecoglou’s debut season at Celtic was a massive thrill, from the chaos of the initial summer months to the joy of a trophy lift, via a couple of massive results against Rangers – and everything in between.

It’s to be expected that the rights holders of the Premiership put together a reflective programme for Scottish football fans to enjoy!
