Celtic boss Neil Lennon has made a bold transfer claim following the Hoops’ Champions League exit, as reported by STV Sports.

The Hoops boss has claimed that the loss to Ferencvaros will not affect Celtic’s transfer window business going forward.

Lennon’s comments were reported by STV Sports’ Ronnie Charters on Twitter.

Lennon’s comments will no doubt ease some fears that Celtic fans have that the club will not be able to sign any more players following the Champions League exit.

Remains to be seen how many more players sign for club

However, it remains to be seen how many more signings that the Hoops will make between now and the closing of the transfer window.

It also remains to be seen if the loss to Ferencvaros will affect the players that will be leaving Celtic Park. You have to imagine that some players join Celtic to play in the Champions League. That is not going to happen this season.

The Hoops now have to concentrate on getting back to winning ways against Motherwell on Sunday. That is what all at the club should be focused on for the moment, not who is going to arrive or leave the club in the five weeks.

Once the game against Motherwell is out of the way and the international break starts, then the Hoops can concentrate on signings.

A promising sign

It is however a promising sign that Charters claims that Lennon wants to keep every player at the club. That could mean that any player who wants to leave won’t be sold without a fight from the club.

That is certainly a bonus when it comes to the futures of the likes of Callum McGregor and Odsonne Edouard.

Only time will tell what Celtic’s transfer window business will look like going forward. However, Lennon seems confident that the Hoops can continue to make purchases. That would be good news in the quest to win 10 in a row.

In other news, Scott Brown has defended the Celtic board and management.
