Olivier Ntcham and Craig Gordon will be staying at Celtic after this month – according to Neil Lennon.

The Hoops boss made the definitive claim after our 3-0 success against St. Johnstone on Wednesday night.

Earlier during the day, we told you about the murmurings from French press that Ntcham could be about to sign for West Ham.

Interest in Craig Gordon has also be high with Hearts said to be “in talks” by the BBC.

But Lennon ruled out either’s departure in the final two days of the month, as per Clyde Superscoreboard reporter Alison Conroy’s tweet.

Lennon still wants Ntcham and Gordon around

The news over Ntcham is hardly surprising. It was always felt that we’d know whether the rumours were true or not once Lennon named his starting line-up.

The fact that the Frenchman started, and then played so well, just emphasised that he’s still totally focussed on what’s going on in Glasgow.

Craig Gordon is a slightly more interesting one. He’s out of contract at the end of May (transfermarkt.co.uk) and unlikely to feature too many more times between now and then given Fraser Forster’s stranglehold on the position.

Given that we also have Scott Bain at the club, some did wonder whether Gordon’s wish of first-team football at Tynecastle may be granted.

But it seems that Lennon still rates him as a pretty solid number two. Gordon has made the matchday squad for virtually every game this season and he is firmly ahead of Bain in the pecking order as a result.

Whether he gets a goodbye game between now and May is likely to be determined by if and when we win the league title.
