Celtic are unable to play without Callum McGregor, who has ‘suffered’ as a result of that, according to Neil Lennon.
McGregor is the captain of the club and is available for every game, but has had no chance to rest, even when the Hoops faced Auchinleck Talbot in the Scottish Cup.
The midfield is too one-dimensional as it is but Lennon thinks that Celtic rely on him too much, on and off the pitch.

What can be done to help provide more support for Callum McGregor?
Callum McGregor has started 45 of Celtic’s 46 games this season
No Celtic player has played more minutes than McGregor this season, with Kasper Schmeichel in second place but with 45 minutes less than the 32-year-old.
That’s represents the lack of options that Martin O’Neill has in the middle of the park and Lennon says others need to take the strain off him.
He told Sky Sports: After a defeat it’s always Callum who is put in front of the cameras.
“His performances have been fine and it’s the ones around him who have struggled.
“It’s interesting that Martin picks him in every game, even against Auchinleck Talbot. He can’t play without him.
Is Callum McGregor Celtic’s most underrated player?
“He’s the only one who can do that job. That number six role – there’s no one else in the squad, I don’t think, that Martin can trust.
“I think he’s suffered it a bit, more than anyone else this year. Especially with the inconsistency and the constant change in managers.”
