As the transfer window approaches, there will be plenty of like-minded Celtic people telling the club how to spend their money over the next few months.
With the Champions League coming up and three domestic competitions to win, Brendan Rodgers will have a list of targets he has identified to help boost Celtic’s chances of competing on all four fronts next season.
Joe Hart leaving this summer has made the goalkeeping position a priority for the Celtic manager but Neil Lennon has urged Rodgers to splash the cash on a player who has ‘huge potential’.
Lennon would ‘definitely’ spend £5m on Adam Idah
The former Celtic manager was unequivocal about his thoughts on the Republic of Ireland striker. After scoring again for his country, Lennon said if it costs £5m to get him in, Rodgers should ‘definitely’ do it.
Lennon said [Scottish Football Podcast], “I would do that one. Absolutely. There’s room for improvement but he’s got great attributes.
“I think he’s improved. I think the conference he’s had from playing for a big club has improved him already.
“I saw him score again the other night for Ireland with a great header.
“I think he’s had a huge impact coming off the bench. And I think he’s young enough that there’s huge potential in him to bring him on.
“So if we could get him for £4m or £5m I would definitely do that one.”

Brendan Rodgers has been clear since the Scottish Cup final about Adam Idah. The Celtic boss is a huge fan of the 23-year-old.
And it seems that the Celtic board are set to back the manager. With no moves made yet to secure Idah on a permanent basis, it seems the managerial change at Norwich City will delay a decision made on his future this summer.
The Celtic fans will be keeping their fingers crossed that Idah will become a permanent member of the playing staff this summer because he has shown since his January move that he has what it takes to be a success at the club.
