The organisers of the Sydney Super Cup have promised that an update is ‘coming soon’ on Celtic’s trip to Australia in November, with a holding page on the competition website.
In a further update, tickets for Celtic’s proposed match against Rangers are no longer on sale.
The link to the fixture had remained on the tournament’s main ticketing website as recently as last month since an announcement in March, but cannot now be found.

Tickets for the Bhoys’ fixture against Sydney FC on November 17th remain online, with most sections still available.
There have been rumours about the potential opponent in the months since Rangers’ withdrawal from the event, though nothing has been officially announced.
67 Hail Hail understands English Premier League opponents are being lined up to face Ange Postecoglou’s side and Western Sydney Wanderers.
With just over four months until the event, there is still plenty of time to get an opponent announced and promoted, though surely they’ll want everything sorted as soon as possible.
The event organisers have been hoping to shift significant hospitality packages and ‘premium’ experiences, which will be a harder sell with less time until the event.
If they manage to line up another big name for the fixtures then ticket sales should come quite easily, although all of this uncertainty has undoubtedly cast a shadow on the whole thing so far.
Hopefully ‘soon’ in this context means in the next couple of weeks, otherwise more questions will likely start to be asked – especially from those who have already purchased briefs.
