Celtic are modernising their media output and a new hour-long documentary reviewing the 2023/24 season is sure to go down a storm with supporters.

Instead of selling it as a DVD as has been traditional in the past, Celtic have released the season review digitally for subscribers to Celtic TV and on a pay-per-view basis.

The feature takes fans through the season with new interviews from key figures such as manager Brendan Rodgers and captain Callum McGregor.

There’s also behind-the-scenes footage, including insight into tactical presentations and key team talks in the dressing room before and after matches.

What Brendan Rodgers told his Celtic players before cup success

The climax of the season came at Hampden after the Bhoys had already become Scottish Premiership champions.

Facing Rangers in the Scottish Cup Final, Celtic went on to become double-winners at Hampden thanks to a last-gasp Adam Idah goal.

It sparked scenes of celebration in the green and white end of Hampden and a summer of joy for everyone connected to the club.

As shown in the new documentary, before kick-off, it was much calmer inside the Celtic dressing room. Rodgers gathered his players in a circle and stood in the middle.

His focus was on all the work they’d put into the season up to that point, rather than emphasising the previous week’s build-up and title celebrations.

Rodgers told the players: “For the 51 weeks leading up to this week, your honesty, your quality, your togetherness, your ambition has made us arrive here as champions.

“Just make sure you go out and give 100% because 98% won’t be enough today. You do that, we’ll get back in here as double-winning champions and then this team creates even more history on the pitch. Good luck. Let’s do it. Come on.”

Celtic fans given insight into Rodgers’ coaching style

Few ever know what goes on inside the dressing room apart from the players, coaches and select staff. So it’s a real treat to see the club present us with these moments.

Rodgers isn’t a shouter and he isn’t overloading the players with information. He delivers a composed, direct pre-match message with the players intently tuned in to his final messages.

That’s not the only team talk shown in the new release, cameras are invited in for various matches along the way, accompanying lots of match highlights and context given by the big performers throughout the season.

It’s well worth a watch for any fan, especially if you are already a subscriber to the club’s streaming service.
