Welcome to the big time, Nicolas Kuhn!
Celtic’s new January capture steps into a club where winning and winning only is accepted.
But the great thing about Nicolas Kuhn is that he understands that already, as he referenced his previous clubs, Bayern Munich and Ajax.
The 24-year-old stated that when he was playing for the likes of Bayern Munich and Ajax, ‘they only accept number one’, just like at Celtic, as he told his press conference.
So, now that winning every week and the pressure being up at its highest level will be put on his shoulders, it’s great to see that he will be ready and prepared for it.
Nicolas Kuhn arrived from Rapid Vienna, the Austrian club accepted that this was the next step of his career, and he was a key player for the team.
It’s going to be far more difficult to break into Brendan Rodgers’ XI, because of the competition in front of him, but that’s why he is here, to upset the apple cart in a positive way.
Celtic pressure
“I think there were also some clubs in the past (Ajax and Bayern Munich), they only accept place number one,” said Kuhn.
“So, I am used to it (the pressure) and I am looking forward towards what is coming. Of course, you want to win every game.”

Chance for Nicolas Kuhn to impress
There are a lot of wingers for Rodgers to now pick from and you would imagine some players will leave going forward.
But, for now, this is Kuhn’s chance to make a big impression, especially with Daizen Maeda away on international duty.
Rodgers will probably start Luis Palma and Liel Abada straight up, but you would imagine Kuhn is next in line.
And that will be his chance to take advantage before Maeda returns from the Asian Cup.
