Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn was the man to thank in Dingwall as the Bhoys saw off Ross County late on to remain top of the Scottish Premiership.

Despite looking to be in a treacherous position with 20 minutes to go, Brendan Rodgers’ men replied in trademark fashion to secure an important three points at the Global Energy Stadium.

Following Alistair Johnston’s equaliser, the Canadian turned provided for Nicolas Kuhn, who struck three minutes from time to seal the points in dramatic fashion after latching onto a brilliant through ball.

Overall, Celtic were value for their victory over Ross County. There have been more eye-catching contests involving the Hoops over the years, but every win counts the same in the context of a title race.

Even at an early stage, the Bhoys look to be in a brilliant position to retain the Scottish Premiership title and Kuhn has opened up on his winner and hard work behind the scenes to get to this point.

Nicolas Kuhn on his Celtic winner against Ross County

Per MailOnline, Kuhn has revealed that he has been working on his finishing since pre-season and credited ‘unbelievable’ teammate Johnston for his role in Celtic’s late winner.

He stated: “I have worked a lot on that (finishing) in training. Pre-season was important for me as I had to get a connection with everybody in the team. In terms of my numbers with the goals and assists, so far it has been good… Yeah, I’m pleased.

“We knew it would be a difficult game against Ross County. For us, the passing was a little bit too slow in the first half, the final pass was missing, and I think we made it a little bit difficult for ourselves.

“We talked about it at half-time and we did much better in the second half. The manager talked about the resilience and the belief, the attitude that this team has. I was really happy to score the winner and continue this start to the season. I think we are in a good position.

Later, he added: “It was an unbelievable pass from Ali [Johnston] for the goal. I saw Kyogo waiting for the pass, but I thought he was maybe offside, so I didn’t cross it, and it worked out well.

“I think at the end we did a good job. Just as I said, the first half was not how we wanted it, but we showed great mentality and got the win at the end.”

Nicolas Kuhn’s top performances for Celtic

Kuhn was a £3.5 million Celtic signing in January and took a little time to find his feet, but he is becoming a critical cog in Brendan Rodgers’ machine.

Now up to five goals and eight assists in his first ten appearances of the season, the German winger is harnessing his growing confidence and converting it into consistent displays on the field.

He has also created 14 chances and completed 13 dribbles on league duty, becoming a threat opposition defences are finding difficult to contend with.

Undoubtedly, his place on the right flank is now cemented and is his to lose, with his form outstripping more or less every other player in the Celtic side at the moment.

Hopefully, he can continue to deliver moments of magic at Celtic Park as his spell in Glasgow goes from strength to strength after an indifferent start.
