Adam Idah has had his fair share of critics this season at Celtic.
The Republic of Ireland striker was brought to Celtic last summer after Idah enjoyed an initial successful four-month loan spell.
Idah was central to Celtic’s success last season as his nine goals helped seal the league title and beat Rangers in the Scottish Cup final.
However, after Celtic paid Norwich £8.5m for Idah, the Hoops striker has come under some criticism this season for his performances despite his impressive goalscoring record.
And the big Irishman has hit back.
Adam Idah admits he’s had ‘fantastic’ season at Celtic
Idah has scored 20 goals for Celtic this season, and helped send the Bhoys to the Scottish Cup final with a Hampden goal against St Johnstone.
However, the final didn’t go Celtic’s way and whilst Idah admits disappointment at the result, he is delighted with what he and the Parkhead club have achieved.
Idah told The Celtic Way, “It was a disappointing end to the season for us, but an overall fantastic season.
“I came away with two trophies, scored 20 goals and got the winning goal in the last camp for Ireland. I feel really good. Most strikers will say the same thing: that you get that feeling from scoring goals, and you’re hungry for more. It’s great to have.”

Idah has clearly heard the criticism that has been aimed at him for his perceived poor season at Celtic.
However, Idah hits back and points out how well he has done and has sent a big message to his Celtic detractors.
Idah continued, “I got into a nice little rhythm towards the end of the season, and hopefully I can come into this camp and score more.
“If you don’t score for a couple of games, it is not helpful to listen to an ex-player. I am not really concerned with what he thinks – I am there to do my bit.
“There is a lot of pressure at the club to be successful, and it is good, I think. Every player wants to play at a big club.
“However, what comes with a big club is the pressure.”
Idah is clearly loving his time at Celtic and the noises he is hearing about him don’t appear to be affecting him.
The Irishman is on international duty with the Republic of Ireland where Celtic fans can watch him appear on Friday night against Senegal at 7:45pm.
