Ex-Celtic man Alex Valle’s Como blow after latest Fabrizio Romano update

Alex Valle enjoyed a brief, but successful loan spell at Celtic.

Starring in Celtic’s League Cup final win against Rangers, Valle picked up two winners’ medals during his four-month stay in Paradise.

The young Spaniard’s time at Celtic was cut short as Barcelona recalled Valle in January to loan him straight back out to Cesc Fabregas’ Como.

And after impressing the Arsenal legend, Fabregas forked out £5m to make Valle’s stay at the Italian club a permanent one.

But it seems the move has taken an unexpected twist after Fabrizio Romano’s latest update on social media.

Inter Milan ask Como ‘for permission’ to speak to ex-Celtic defender’s new boss

It appears that Inter Milan are embarking on a rebuilding process and see Cesc Fabregas as a part of that now that Simone Inzaghi is set to leave the club.

Romano said on X, “Inter have asked Como for permission to open talks with Cesc Fabregas today.

“No direct contact with Cesc yet as timing and final decision depends on Como, with Inter now ready to present their project to Fabregas.”

If this move happens, it will come as a blow to Alex Valle who clearly enjoyed and thrived working under Fabregas during his brief loan spell at the club.

What Cesc Fabregas said about ex-Celtic man Alex Valle’s Como future

Valle clearly has a big future in football. Fabregas is a huge admirer of the former Celtic man and after signing him on a permanent deal, he mapped out the young Spaniard’s future at the Italian club.

Fabregas said, “Alex is a talented young defender, and he has proven it in the last six months.

“He has integrated perfectly and in a very short time into the team’s mechanisms, showing all his qualities, both defensively and offensively.

“With him, Como has secured one of the most interesting talents of his age, who will be very important for the team in the future.”
