Celtic added Crystal Palace utility player Jeffrey Schlupp with just minutes to spare on transfer deadline day.

The Hoops’ deadline day was a fairly quiet affair as Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers looked to strengthen his team before the big 11pm deadline.

As it went, Celtic made one solitary signing after Schlupp agreed to a short-term loan deal to offer cover in the left-back area of the team.

However, Rodgers stressed that Celtic replacing Kyogo was a priority in the window but the Parkhead club, for whatever reason, didn’t manage to do that.

This has led to Chris Sutton delivering his verdict on Celtic’s transfer business that many Hoops supporters can relate to.

What Chris Sutton is ‘not sure’ about after Celtic’s January transfer window

Celtic added Jota to the squad last week and in the final few minutes of the window, the club announced Schlupp.

However, Celtic also lost seven players in January with the main man Kyogo heading out the exit door for Rennes.

And the transfer business has left Sutton asking one question this morning. Taking to social media channel X, Sutton said, “Not sure Celtic are in a stronger position squad-wise now the window has shut… your thoughts?”
