It’s official. Former Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is now in charge of Nottingham Forest.
Speculation was rife all morning about Postecoglou taking the Forest hotseat after the Premier League club parted ways with Nuno Espirito Santo.
Postecoglou has been out of work since Spurs sacked the Australian at the end of the season despite leading them to European glory.
And now, the former Celtic boss is in charge at another ex-European Cup winning team as Postecoglou aims to improve on Nottingham Forest’s performances last season.
However, as news broke that the ex-Spurs gaffer was taking over at the City Ground, the Celtic treble-winner was met with a barrage of familiar messages as the Forest fans reacted to the news.

Nottingham Forest fans welcome Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou
It seems opinion is split amongst the Nottingham Forest support as Ange looks to take in more Premier League action next season.
First up was a message of support for the former Celtic gaffer:
@forestmad80 seemed over the moon and said, “I’m actually excited for this, we will be a better team to watch and I’ll back the president on his judgement.”
However, there was some pushback to the appointment with some Forest fans deeply unhappy. @GarethJD said, “The biggest act of self sabotage by the club in 160 years. A terrible, terrible appointment.”
@DaleD89 urged the support to back their new manager and said, “Not a popular appointment, but he’s the gaffer now. Welcome in Ange and good luck for the season.”
So it looks like whilst there are some fans happy to see Ange take over Forest, the former Celtic man still has work to do to convince many that he is the right person for the job.
