Celtic icon Ange Postecoglou is being linked to a Premier League return after a late-night sacking in England.
The Australian has been out of work since Postecoglou was sacked by Tottenham at the end of the season despite the Celtic hero winning the London club’s first-ever European trophy.
Postecoglou’s success at Celtic led him to the Premier League over two years ago and after a good first season saw him reach fifth place in England’s top tier.
But now, almost six months after being let go by Spurs, Celtic legend Postecoglou seems to be on the brink of a Premier League return after a late night development at Nottingham Forest.

Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou ‘under consideration’ at Nottingham Forest
Postecoglou was linked to Bayer Leverkusen and Fenerbahçe last week but it appears that after Nottingham Forest sacked Nuno Espirito Santo late last night, the former Celtic manager is now in the frame for a return to England.
Romano said on X, “BREAKING: Nuno Espirito Santo and Nottingham Forest part ways with immediate effect.
“Decision made after tension between the parties in recent weeks, it’s over for Nuno at Nottingham Forest, as Record Portugal reports.
“Three candidates including Ange Postecoglou under consideration.”
Would Ange Postecoglou ever return to Celtic?
Postecoglou is still held in high regard by the Celtic supporters after the Australian brought a brand of football and success that excited the Hoops fans.
With Brendan Rodgers looking like he could be leaving Celtic at the end of this season when his current contract expires, could Postecoglou be holding out to make a return to Parkhead?
Former Celtic defender Charlie Mulgrew reckons the Parkhead club should at least ask the question but a year is a long time in football, and a manager of Postecoglou’s calibre is likely to be snapped up by then.
