Former Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard has been given the big YouTube treatment following his move to Crystal Palace.

The French forward spoke to influencer Harry Pinero on the UMM YouTube channel – which has 165,000 subscribers.

Pinero has previously interviewed the likes of Kieran Tierney and Billy Gilmour, and has a big audience down south.

Here, he spoke to Edouard about a number of issues, from his friendship with Kylian Mbappé to Crystal Palace and Celtic.

Of course, we’re only interested in the latter.

Edouard praises the Celtic Park atmosphere

The video in the ‘Assumptions’ series sees Pinero relay some commonly made assumptions about Edouard.

His first Celtic answer came in relation to a comment about the atmosphere for derby matches at Celtic Park.

“It’s incredible,” Edouard said. “I’ve never seen atmosphere like this. When we play against Rangers, with the Celtic fans at Celtic Park it is crazy.

“I can’t explain it. You have to live this, to understand how I feel.

Edouard then admitted his brace to win Celtic’s Treble Treble in 2019 was the highlight of his career so far.

“It was the best feeling. When you’re a player you play to win titles, and when you score a goal like this to win a title it’s unbelievable. It’s crazy.

“I stayed four years there, I have some good memories, some good titles. I’ll always (hold the Celtic fans close to my heart).

Edouard was then asked about Tierney, and the prospect of locking horns with him in the Premier League.

“He’s very good. I had the chance to play with him for two years and I enjoyed it.

“He made a big impact on the left side and gave me a lot of assists, so he’s good.

“For 90 minutes, it’ll be a fight. But after the game for sure I’ll speak to him, I’ll get in touch. He’s still my friend.”

So it’s clear that Edouard still holds Celtic and the club’s supporters in high regard.

And you would certainly hope so.

Edouard was great for us, but we were also a terrific platform for the forward.

Many will hold a grudge given the way his career at the club finished.

But Eddy doing well down south is good news for Celtic. It will add another name to the growing list of Celtic stars who left for the Premier League and excelled.

By the way, you don’t have long to wait for Edouard vs Tierney. Monday 18th October, and it’s live on Sky Sports.
